Whats is the Young Leaders Programme?

We are passionate about raising up the next generation of leaders. The young leaders programme is an opportunity for older youth to receive monthly training and to join the Blackpool Church Youth Team in our mission to create spaces where the young people of Blackpool can grow and thrive.

 
 

What does being a Young Leader include?

Monthly young leaders night. Here we will focus on building community together and having lots of fun. This will also include leadership, safeguarding and youth leader training as well as bible studies and mentoring.

Serving in our Youth Team that works with over 200 young people every term.

There may be some opportunities to go on personal development trips.

You can put this in your CV when applying for jobs, we can also provide references.

How long is the programme?

One academic year.

Who can be a young leader?

If you are in year 11 or older. you can be a young leader.

Young leader Expectations (what you do)

  • Attend all monthly input sessions.

  • Serve on the Youth Team at least twice a month.

  • Regular participation in a church community (E.G. attending Blackpool Church).

    • You will also be encouraged to be part of a Sunday team in that church.

Programme expectations (what we do)

  • Monthly young leaders nights - community, training, bible study.

  • Provide practical opportunities to learn new skills an.

  • Pastoral support/mentoring.
